Founder
The Ravand Institute for Economic and International studies was founded by Seyed Mohammad Hossein Adeli, who currently serves as Chairman and CEO. Dr. Adeli is a leading economist as well as a seasoned diplomat and prolific academic. Between 1989 and 1994, he served as the Governor of Central Bank of Iran where he spearheaded innovative reforms in Iran’s financial sector. Dr Adeli also served a senior advisor to Iran’s Minister of Oil between 1984 and 1985, during which he represented Iran in various OPEC meetings. He later served as Deputy Foreign Minister for Economic Affairs between 1999 and 2004. He also served as Iran’s Ambassador to Japan, Canada, and the United Kingdom. Among his other accomplishments, Dr Adeli served as Chairman of the Coordinating Council for Foreign Economic Relations. He has taught at various universities and has authored numerous books and scholarly articles. He is a regular speaker at international forums and conference on international and economic subjects. Dr. Adeli is the recipient of several prestigious awards from international foundations.

Fellows The academic, research and consulting activities of the Ravand Institute are subsumed under three departments comprised of academic fellows who are active on a full-time or part-time basis. We also have an expansive network of academic experts, professional associates and contacts who we solicit on a case basis. The Ravand institute also conducts collaborative research with research fellows from other institutes, universities and foundations who are regularly invited to internal department meetings for consultation on current global affairs and emerging trends.
