Ravand evening event is an interactive 4-hour roundtable dinner that features the lively interaction of participants exploring key issues and emerging trends. During this VIP event, a speech is given by a distinguished personality, and audience members are given the opportunity to deliberate, and to guide the discussion with their input through a rapporteur.

The Ravand Institute, in line with its mission of establishing a tradition of dialogue and debate, organized a VIP lecture and debate on 5 November 2006. The lecture took place in the Azadi Hotel and featured guest lecturer, Dr. Krain Kneissel, a lecturer at the Vienna Diplomatic Academy. The audience was comprised of Iranian dignitaries, ambassadors, senior diplomats from European and neighboring countries, as well as executives, and managers from multinationals present in Iran.

After a cogent lecture entitled ‘EU’s Quest for a Common Diplomacy: Energy Security’, audience members had the opportunity to exchange viewpoints informally through a rapporteur, which made for a lively and spirited discussion. The prestigious dinner event also provided ample time for socializing and networking.
